About Me
I'm Dawn, founder of The Ledger Digital Solutions. I'm an AI Trainer and RLHF Evaluator based on the Sunshine Coast of BC, working remotely with tech platforms and creative clients everywhere. I'm not a big firm, and I don't want to be. I'm a one-woman operation who wears a few different hats.
My day-to-day involves crafting complex prompts, comparing model outputs, and providing the kind of rigorous human feedback that makes AI systems more accurate, safer, and genuinely useful. I also offer graphic design, Squarespace web design, and digital business support for small businesses who want to work smarter.
I previously spent years in community healthcare, doing the kind of work where details genuinely matter and the margin for error is zero. I sat on a health and safety committee, was a preceptor for new students and incoming staff, was passionate about thorough clinical documentation, and advocated fiercely for strict policy and procedure. I had learned early that small oversights have big consequences. Healthcare felt like my calling, and I couldn't imagine ever doing anything differently.
Until life redirected me and I had to pivot.
A new path opened up and I went back to school for business administration, bookkeeping, payroll, and HR. Then I discovered graphic design and fell in love… though I second-guessed whether that should be my focus. Somehow, in the middle of school and building new business ventures, I stumbled into AI evaluation. And stayed. For the first time in a long time, the work felt like a perfect fit.
The Ledger was created at the intersection of data and design, of logic and creativity, of human insight and digital tools.
The Ledger
A ledger is one of the oldest business tools in existence. Before spreadsheets, before software, before the cloud, businesses kept a ledger. A handwritten record of every transaction, every balance, every truth. Nothing hidden. Nothing fudged. Just the honest account of where things stood.
A ledger is more than just data on a page. It's a record of accountability, transparency, and progress. It represents clarity, balance, and the backbone of business. Those are exactly the things I want to bring to my work, whether I'm auditing AI models, creating designs, or consulting on digital solutions.
Digital Solutions
When I think about what my clients actually need, it always comes back to the same thing: balance.
Balance in their workload. Balance in their budget. Balance between the parts of their business that energize them and the parts that drain them. Most small business owners I know are brilliant at their craft and quietly drowning in everything around it. The admin, the digital presence, the never-ending list of things that feel urgent but aren't what they actually built their business to do.
I don't want to be another vendor you're locked into. I don't believe in expensive retainers that create dependency instead of capability. My whole model is built around the opposite: I come in, build you something beautiful and functional, hand you the keys, and cheer you on. And if you ever stumble, I'm the safety net you can call.
As an AI evaluator, part of my job is literally making sure these systems stay accurate, safe, and genuinely helpful. The human in the loop isn't a nice-to-have. It's the whole point. I am that human balance on the other side of AI.
